Mountain Walker exists because I wanted an outlet for my outdoor adventures. The name came years later while out exploring the mountains of New Mexico on the Grand Enchantment Trail. I started making gear in 2021 a year after hiking the Continental Divide Trail. I fell in love with cottage gear and fell in love with sewing myself. This is just the beginning and am excited for the future! This page will be part blog and part shop.

In 2020 I started to go down the rabbit hole of outdoor gear. I was not able to find everything I wanted or needed; this lead me down the path of MYOG. Ever since I bought a heavy duty sewing machine I have not been able to stop thinking about getting everything I could make. After I hiked the CDT I really dove deep into the community of sewing and what I could make. My goal is to make ever single piece of gear I use on trail and to offer gear for sale in the process. Hope you enjoy my creations!
